My original thought for this was a complex dress or outfit, but I didn’t have time to do that. I asked Nick the first words he thought of when he heard “intricate” and one of them was coding (because he’s a web guy) and I thought, binary! Now *that’s* intricate. 
So there we have it! I hardly draw the backside of characters so I had some nice growth opportunities too.

The restrictions of this made it difficult… It was hard to fit bilingual information on a half sheet and not have the text take over, but I think this came out well.

i taught myself some neat posterization and vintage techniques with this. it was my first “yay i have a wacom” feeling when i had to cut the band members out of a photo… its so much harder with a mouse.
